• Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: What do the different levels of “Estimate Status” mean?
A: There five categories of ‘Estimate Status in our program:- Pending – means it an estimate that needs to be done but none of the resources, information, or construction documents that are needed to do the estimate have been collected
- In Progress – The estimate is being worked on but is not yet complete.
- Complete – A completed (and locked, no further changes are allowed) estimate.
- Dead – A estimate that is either being held in the queue on hiatus but otherwise no longer needs to be worked on.
- and Template – Templates are estimates that are saved because the contain typical workflows and can be duplicated in the future and then modified for other new clients.
- Q: I can’t enter information in the fields for Client and Venue Information
A: You need to create (or choose) Client and Venue records to attach to the Estimate first. Click on the Find (Magnifying Glass) Button Icon next to the Client and Venue record and the program will ask you what you want to do and run you through the process. You then use the Pencil Button Icon to attach the Client or Venue record you want to the Estimate. - Q: What Exactly Is An “Estimate Group”?
A: An “Estimate Group” in the 360 Difference System is essentially just a sub-division of an Estimate. It could also be called a Phase or a Division too depending upon how the user wants to define it.I like to think of and try to define in my estimating an ”Estimate Group” as a discrete group of tasks that you want to track and job cost as a group and make up a task node on CPM or Gantt chart.
